About OmicronWhat: Upsilon Pi Epsilon is the first and only international honor society in the Computing and Information Disciplines. It has received endorsements from the two largest computer organizations in the world, the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and the IEEE Computer Society (IEEE-CS). UPE is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies (ACHS). Visit UPE's website for more information. Why: Share ideas and experience with other motivated computer science students. Further eligibility requirements must also be met. Costs: $20 Omicron Membership fee, $35 UPE Membership Fee. Rules: Omicron has a Constitution and By-Laws, and UPE also has a Constitution and By-Laws. Speakers: A variety of speakers will present their work or research in computer science and related fields. Locations and times will be announced two weeks in advance. Please feel free to suggest any topics or speakers you are interested in. Trips: Trips will be made to companies and research facilities involved in the computing and information sciences. Locations and times will be announced two weeks in advance.
